NOVA – Dart Impact Tester is usedfor determination of the energy that
causes polyethylene film to fall under sp
ecified conditions of Impact of
a free falling Dart. The test method is as per ASTM-D-1709-75 and IS-
2508-1977.Most useful for manufacturers
and bulk consumers of Plastic

DART IMPACT TESTER
PROCESS:
In the falling dart method a dart is
subjected to a free fall on to a piece of
plastic film under test from a specifi
ed unsupported portion of a stretched
film clamped tightly all around. Add
itional weights of dart are provided
to fascilitate increase of Dart weight
in steps of 15gm.Two types of darts are provided to carryout test A & B. The equipment is provided with a vacuum pump for slip free clamping of films.
CONSTRUCTION:
Dart with 2 sets of weights.
Base Plate.
Vacuum Pump.
Adjustable Electro magnetic dart holder.
Operation – 230 Volts AC Single Phase.
